Meine Meinung:
Ich war ja auf der Suche nach Romanen, die in Taiwan spielen und dieser hier tut es zumindest teilweise. Leider wurde ich mit Vincent, dem Protagonisten, nicht richtig warm. Ich konnte seine Handlungen meistens nicht wirklich nachvollziehen. das wurde aber mehr als aufgewogen durch die atemberaubenden Landschaftsbeschreibungen in Taiwan und vor allem China, den genauen Milieustudien, der feinen Zeichnung der Personen. Eine Art Roadmovie in China, spannend und mit vielen kleinen Details über das Leben dort und in Taiwan erzählt. Die Sprache ist eher trocken und der Roman nimmt auch erst Fahrt auf, als Vincent nach China aufbricht. es lohnt sich aber, bis dahin durchzuhalten!

Empfehlenswert.
